Konferenzbeitrag auf der ISPIM Conference in Hamburg
Der Konferenzbeitrag von ITONICS zum Thema “Sustainability in Innovation” auf der XXII ISPIM Conference – Sustainability in Innovation: Innovation Management Challenges wurde angenommen. Worum geht es?
This paper introduces processes in trend management and shows how trends can be recorded, communicated and evaluated within a company in a structured manner. A collaborative software solution called “Trend-Radar” is presented in a real life case study. Processes covered by the Trend-Radar are trend identification, trend evaluation, trend analysis, trend reporting and trend monitoring. Methods of open innovation are integrated in the defined trend management processes and supported by the Trend-Radar software solution.
Practical implications: Innovation management units in medium and large scale organizations benefit from standardized and controllable processes in their strategic foresight. The presented software solution can be used as blueprint for implementing a sound trend management environment. The subjectivity in trend assessment and portfolio management is – at least partly – replaced by the intelligence of the masses. Every step in the funnel of ideas is documented and every decision is based on multi-dimensional collaborative evaluation criteria. The presented software solution uses a radar screen as one component to illustrate the need for action and the impact of trends on the corporation. This instrument can be utilized by senior management to support strategic investment decisions in the innovation portfolio.
Sehen wir uns am 12. – 15. Juni 2011 in Hamburg? Wir freuen uns darauf!
